Step By Step Instructions

  1. To begin: Log on to the Nominations Web site. The Address is: https://srcnominations.unizulu.ac.za
  2. To Submit a New Nomination, click on the Button labelled: "Submit A New Nomination".
  3. Step One: Enter Your information as the Nominator.
  4. Step Two: Enter in the details of the candidate you wish to nominate.
  5. Step Three: Select from the dropdown the portfolio which matches your nomination choice.
  6. Step Four: Enter in the details of the Students that second this nomination.
  7. For the portfolio of president you will require a minimum of one hundred seconders. For all other portfolios you will require a minimum of fifty seconders. Once you have completed filling in the details of all the seconders, you can then click the button at the bottom of the page to submit your nomination.
  8. Verification emails will be sent to the nominated candidate and all seconders that were specified. These emails will each contain a web link which will need to be clicked on to confirm the nomination or the secondments.
  9. An email will also be sent to the nominator containing a reference number for the submitted nomination. That reference number is required to view the nomination progress on the nominations web site.
  10. To monitor the progress of a nomination, go to the nominations home page https://srcnominations.unizulu.ac.za as before. Click on the button labelled "View Progress of Existing Nomination".
  11. Enter in the reference number which was sent to your email. You will then be taken to a page displaying all of the information submitted for the nomination. You will also be able to see the number of seconders that have verified their secondment via their university email. All specified seconders will also be listed.
  12. You will also have the option to add additional seconders at any time to your nomination to increase the number of verified seconders to meet the required number for candidate eligibility.
